The Founder's Story

I am a domestic violence survivor, and this store is my path forward — built from the wreckage of what was taken from me and the strength I found on the other side. Art has always been therapeutic in my life, in all of its many forms. Painting, creating, making something with my hands — these were the things that kept me going when nothing else could. As I finally shed the final layers of self-doubt placed on me by outside forces that clung to me like a second skin, I am taking my life back. And I am lifting up as many people as I can along the way.

I say us now — because I hope for this to one day be a business run by a coalition of abuse survivors around the world. This is just the beginning.

The Mission

Resilient Minds Designs exists to support survivors, amplify their voices, and fund the resources that help people escape and rebuild. Every purchase you make here is part of that mission.

A portion of proceeds from select products goes directly to Save the Children International — because protecting the most vulnerable is non-negotiable. Our Outreach Collection donates all or part of its proceeds to specified causes, so you can shop with intention and know exactly where your dollars go.

Our long-term vision is Safe Landings — a future initiative to create real, tangible support systems for survivors: safe housing, resources, and community. Every sale moves us closer to that goal.

The Art

The Strikes & Strokes painting series is the heart of this brand. Each piece in the series is created based off an artwork painted by me — the founder — and carries the weight and the release of lived experience. These aren't just decorative pieces. They are evidence of survival, transformation, and the power of reclaiming your own story through creativity.

New crochet items and original photos — also made by me — are added to the store every Wednesday. This is a living, growing collection.

Our Sustainability Commitment

We are a small business with a big conscience. Our apparel is made with recycled fabric, and everything is made to order — which means we produce only what's needed, reducing waste at every step. We believe caring for survivors and caring for the planet go hand in hand.
