The Beautiful Trust of Nature

During a regular trip to my local lakeside sitting area, looking out over the water and writing my thoughts down, Mother Nature surprised me with a beautiful moment. This precious deer came slowly out of the trees and we watched each other for a good five minutes. After somehow deciding that I wasn’t a threat, she started to graze. I didn’t dare go to my car to get my camera, so I caught this on my iPhone. She was maybe 15 feet from me. Capturing this moment of peace and trust between species reminds me how wild it is that we can’t manage it with each other as people.
